The second deliverable in our Horizon 2020 project European Media Platforms: assessing positive and negative externalities for European Culture (EuMePlat) is “Patterns in media consumption: regional models”. Based on available data, the report tracks the changes in the consumption of media in the period 1990-2020, which are characterised by two macro trends: the deregulation of broadcasting and the entry of commercial providers of radio and TV services as well as the popularisation of the Internet.
