Rogue Scholar

Because I was busy with the Berlin FediDay25 and Open Networks at the EU Digital Summit, I forgot to blog, that I am now a proud Rogue Scholar. Kudos go out to Lambert Heller for pointing out to me that my blog would qualify. And, of course, to Martin Fenner for setting up this wonderful service and for including my blog.

Rogue Scholar launched in 2023. It is hosted on Front Matter. Mine is among 194 science blogs, with nearly 50.000 blog posts. Like all the others, my blog is archived in searchable full-text, with DOIs and metadata added. And it is even long-term archived to the Internet Archive, so I don’t have to do that, which is just beautiful. Old archive wisdome: Many copies keep things save.

Thanks also to Matthias Pfefferle for his WordPress ActivityPub plugin thanks to which this message, if all goes well, will automagically appear on Mastodon.
